FULTON, MO – William Woods University is ranked in the top 20 among OnlineU's 2016 Best Value Schools for Online Business Degrees.
“Due to exceptional affordability along with academic strength, William Woods University made the rankings at 17 in online MBA programs,” Taitum Ridgway, a representative of SR Education Group, an education research publisher founded in 2004, said. “These rankings represent schools across the nation that are making an effort to provide the best value for students seeking online business degrees.”
Schools that qualified for this honor offer online MBA programs with tuitions under $17,000. The tuition for an MBA at William Woods is $5,500 annually.
“We pride ourselves in providing quality programs at a reasonable price and making them accessible,” Dr. Jahnae H. Barnett, WWU president, said. “Online classes allow students to have a choice that best fits into their lifestyles, so online education will continue to grow.”
William Woods offers an MBA in Entrepreneurial Leadership, which is accredited by the ACBSP (Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs), as well as the Higher Learning Commission. It is designed to fit the schedules of working professionals and can be completed in two years or less through online courses.
“Our online MBA provides a diverse credential for exceptional career flexibility and achievement,” Lee Bailey, dean of graduate business at William Woods University, said. “The skills you develop in our online program — leadership, financial competency, organizational theory, information systems and more — will show your organization that you are ready to take your place among its leaders.”
She added, “Chief among these skills is entrepreneurship, which will help you find new ways to lead and create solutions in a world of constrained resources, environmental challenges and competitive global markets.”
The MBA at William Woods requires the completion of 10 three-credit courses, including a final applied case project where students complete a written business plan and defend it in an oral presentation to an outside panel of business experts.
“Students can expect rigorous coursework with real-world relevance, designed and taught by professionals who have proven their expertise in the corporate world,” Betsy Tutt, WWU vice president of academic affairs and dean of the Graduate College, said. “The online MBA degree’s strong theoretical background is balanced by an emphasis on practice that puts theory to work.”
