Mesa, Ariz., died Aug. 3, 2012, at
age 76. Carol served as president and an officer
of the William Woods College Mother’s Club of
Greater St. Louis. Carol is survived by her
daughter,
Suzanne (Bock) Grishman

Annabel Sullivan
,
Fulton, Mo., passed away
May 30, 2012, at age 95. Annabel worked at
William Woods College. She was a member
of Eastern Star, Daughters of Rebekah, Women’s
Club, and First Christian Church. She enjoyed
hand painting china, sewing, quilting, and taking
care of her granddaughters. She is survived by
one daughter,

and
Mallory Foster
’11.
accomplished piano player. Her true passion
was being with her grandchildren.
Beverly (Horne) Stansfield
’62
Lindenhurst, Ill.,
passed away Oct. 1, 2012. During her time
at WWC she was a member of the Brushes
Club, serving as the secretary and the treasurer.
Following her WWC graduation, she pursued a
career in art. Beverly loved to garden and cook.
Amanda “Metzie” (Nichols) Byars
’65,
Tulsa,
Okla., passed away April 17, 2012. She attended
Thomas Edison High School, William Woods
University, and the University of Tulsa, where she
was a member and past president of Delta Delta
Delta Sorority Alumni Group. She was also a
member of the DAR.
Barbara (Moore) Thomas
’66,
Overland Park,
Kan., died April 13, 2012. Barbara’s love for
children was evidenced by her years as a
preschool and elementary teacher, as well as
teaching children’s Sunday school.
Elaine (Kessler) Butterfield
’70,
St. Louis, Mo.,
passed away May 5, 2012. She worked
for California-based Arnco as a territory sales
manager after leaving Cupples Rubber Company.
She enjoyed gardening, baking delicious apple
pies, ballroom dancing, music and, most of all,
being with her family.
Diane (Haag) Tiritilli
’74,
Oakland, N.J., died
July 19, 2012. Diane worked as a teacher for the
Bergen County Special Services for 35 years.
Elizabeth “Lisa” Ann (Fancher) Fittz
’84,
died
Aug. 11, 2012. After William Woods, Lisa went
to Texas Christian University and completed her
undergraduate degree at Texas Tech University.
She had a career in sales at Class One
Orthodontist, KCBD News Channel Eleven,
Ramar Communications, and Wells Fargo.

’86,
Jefferson City, Mo., passed
away July 21, 2012. Sandra was employed with
the State of Missouri as a paralegal for several
years. She enjoyed spending time and traveling
with her family.
Sharon Buchanan
,
MBA ’98, Fulton, Mo., died
July 10, 2012. Sharon was employed by Family
Counseling Center as a drug and alcohol abuse
counselor for the Mid-Missouri area. She was
an active member of the First Assembly of God
Church in Fulton and enjoyed sewing, crafting,
and writing poetry.
