Graduate & Adult Studies Catalog

Graduate Regulations

  Applicability of Degree Requirements

The degree and continuation requirements in effect at the time of initial enrollment remain in effect as long as the student maintains sustained (uninterrupted) enrollment. If study is interrupted for any reason, including academic suspension, the student, when resuming study, may be subject to any or all new requirements instituted since initial enrollment. The Dean of Graduate and Adult Studies determines the applicability of new requirements at the time student resumes study.

Graduate students granted “Academic Leave” may interrupt study for predetermined periods of time with the assurance of resuming study under the degree and continuation requirements in effect at the time of initial enrollment. The request must be made to the Dean of Graduate and Adult Studies and indicate the specific duration of the proposed leave, the clear intent to resume study, and a general statement of the reasons for the leave.
