ITP301 Interpreting I
Provides students with an introduction to the cognitive processing skills associated with interpretation. Students engage in a variety of lab activities designed to isolate various cognitive processes to increase students' ability to focus, concentrate and analyze. The discourse styles of English and American Sign Language users are analyzed to distinguish patterns of low and high context usage, linguistic structure and cultural differences. Attendance in lab is required.
