Academic Policy Details
Developmental English & Math Courses
Introduction to College Writing (ENG100) is a three-credit developmental English course that is designed to prepare students for college-level English composition requirements, and Introduction to College Math (MAT101) is a three-credit developmental math class designed to prepare students for a college-level math class. Students are placed in these classes based upon their English and math sub-scores on the ACT or the verbal and math sub-scores on the SAT. Students placed in these courses are required to take them. Successful completion of these courses is a strong indicator that students are prepared for college coursework: therefore, dropping these courses is NOT an option.
