EQS304 Theory of Equine Behavior & Training Methods
This course will provide the student with a survey of equine behavior and training techniques through videos, online research and required readings. The physical and mental processes that contribute to equine behavior will be covered in this course. The principles of the initial schooling of the horse up through early mounted work will be covered. A variety of methods of working with the foal, haltering, leading, early handling procedures, longeing, long lining, bitting and backing the colt will be covered. All written work for this course will be submitted online.
