Academic Policy Details
A transcript is an official copy of a student's academic record; it bears the University seal and the signature of the Registrar. Official transcripts are available upon written and signed request by the student. Telephone requests are not accepted. An "official" transcript cannot be released until all personal and financial obligations have been cleared. An "official" transcript must be sent directly from the registrar's office to the receiving institution or agency. If a student obtains a transcript in person, the words "Issued to Student" will appear on the transcript. Payment of the transcript fee is required before release of the transctipt.
The Registrar's office will fax transcripts upon written request with a student's signature. However, faxed transcripts are generally NOT considered official by the recipient. There will be an additional charge for mailing a second transcript if one is needed. Fax requests are stamped with receipt date and handled along with mailed requests.
These policies apply to the Semester Program/On Campus students only. Graduate College Students will need to consult the Graduate College Bulletin.
