BIO224 Contemporary Topics in Biology
An "issues-based" course for non-majors introduces some of the most important recent developments in the biological sciences and their biological underpinnings. Topics will vary, but may include origins of infectious and inherited disease, human/environmental interactions, and impact of new DNA biotechnology on society. Must be taken concurrently with BIO225. (Prerequisite: MAT 101 and ENG 100 or equivalent)
