Graduate Special Status as a Transitional Designation

A student seeking admittance as a Regular or Provisional Status who has yet to complete the application process, but who documents possession of a baccalaureate degree and qualifying grade point average from a regionally accredited institution may, at the discretion of the Dean of Graduate and Adult Studies, with the advice and consultation of the appropriate graduate program director, be admitted as a Graduate Special pending completion of the application and admissions process. All limitations and restrictions applicable to Graduate Special Status apply to students so admitted. Students so admitted are expected to complete the application process as expeditiously as possible. Graduate Special admission under these circumstances has no bearing upon the eventual admission decision and should not be interpreted as suggesting full admission will be granted. Revised 9/14/2009
