William Woods University Women's SoccerOwls Fall at Missouri Valley

(MARSHALL, Mo., Sept. 5) - The William Woods University women’s soccer team lost at Missouri Valley College on Saturday afternoon. The Owls lost to the Vikings 2-0.

Amanda Rainer scored in the 20th minute to give the Vikings a 1-0 lead. Jesse Yach added a goal in the 69th minute to preserve the win for Missouri Valley.

William Woods recorded 11 shots; nine of which were on goal. Missouri Valley recorded 10 shots; six of which were on goal.

Hannah Harrison had nine saves for MVC. Freshman Anna Hatfield (DeSoto, Ill.) had four saves in goal for WWU.

The Owls fall to 0-2 on the season. They will return to action on Wednesday, September 9th. William Woods will host Culver-Stockton College at 7 pm at Firley Field.
