Women's Soccer Coaching Staff
Josh Ganson

Josh Ganson begins his second season as head men’s and women’s soccer coach at William Woods University.  The 2006 men’s program finished with a record of 4-13.  They concluded their season with a loss at the hands of  Missouri Baptist University in the AMC Region V play-in tournament.  The 2006 women’s program finished with a record of 4-13.  They also concluded their season with a loss at the hands of Missouri Baptist University in the AMC Region V play-in tournament.

Ganson joined the William Woods coaching staff after a success-filled year as the head of the women’s soccer team at William Penn University in 2005.  He was named the 2005 Midwest Classic Conference Coach of the Year after leading the Statesmen to a 12-5-2 mark.  Penn finished the season with a 6-1-1 record in its final eight games on the way to a conference co-championship and a second-place showing in the conference tournament.

Prior to his work at William Penn, Ganson served as a graduate assistant coach at Nichols College and New England College.

Ganson also served as the head junior varsity and assistant varsity coach for the men’s programs at Graceland University from 2000 to 2003.  During his time at Graceland, the Yellowjackets compiled a 37-31-3 record and advanced to one Regional Tournament.

Ganson graduated from Graceland University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.

Ilia Lipartiani joined the Owls coaching staff in the summer of 2006, after playing for WWU from 2001-2004.  Lipartiani scored eight goals and assisted on six more during his career.  The native of Batumi, Republic of Georgia ranked third on the team in goals (3), assists (3), and total points (9) in 2003, including the game-winning goal in a 4-0 victory over Culver-Stockton College on August 30.

Before joining the Owls, Lipartiani attended Victor High School in Montana.  Before moving to Montana, he was named Best Midfielder in 1998 while attending high school in Batumi, Republic of Georgia.
