 Owls Finish 9th at Tournament
(SPRINGFIELD, Mo., Sept. 15) - The William Woods University women's golf team finished 9th at the Lady Panther Shootout in Springfield, Mo. The University of Southern Indiana won the tournament.
WWU shot an opening round 330, and a final round 333 to finish +87 for the two day tournament. Tournament champion USI finished +35. The field consisted of 17 teams.
Freshman Naomi Starr (Columbia, Mo.) was a bright spot for the Owls. Starr finished in a tie for 16th. She shot rounds of 79 and 79 to finish +14. The tournament field consisted of 97 golfers.
The Owls will return to action on September 19th and 20th at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational.
