WWU 9th at Louisville Classic
(LOUISVILLE, Ky., Oct. 3) - The William Woods University women's cross country team competed at the University of Louisville Classic on Saturday. The Owls finished 9th in a field of 35 teams. NCAA Division I University of Kentucky won the event.
Junior Kristi Palmer (Ste. Genevieve, Mo.) was the top runner for the Owls. Palmer finished 11th in a field of 298 runners. She finished the 5k race with a time of 19:09.44.
Teammate Amy Gangloff (Wellsville, Mo.) finished 29th in the event. Gangloff, a freshman, finished the event with a time of 19:47.55. Francince Nzilampa (Lindenwood University) won the race with a time of 18:01.65.

Junior Jessica Bollinger (Ste. Genevieve, Mo.) - 63rd with a time of 20:38.62.
Sophomore Latrice Fletcher (Independence, Mo.) - 102nd with a time of 21:17.35.
Sophomore Jordan Locke (Hannibal, Mo.) - 117th with a time of 21:28.93.
Freshman Stephanie Candrl (High Ridge, Mo.) - 167th with a time of 22:15.81.
Freshman Jessie Wright (Linn, Mo.) - 172nd with a time of 22:21.46.
The Owls will return to action on October 16th. WWU will compete in the H.W. Wright Classic at Millikan University.
