Owls Complete Regular Season With Win

(FAYETTE, Mo., Nov. 5)--The William Woods University volleyball team concluded its 2009 regular season with a 3-0 victory at Central Methodist University on Thursday evening. The Owls won by scores of 25-14, 25-13 and 25-15.

 

Junior Brianna Rodriguez (Camdenton, Mo.) had a team-high ten kills in the match. Senior Cali Simmons (Shawnee, Kan.) added eight kills for the Owls. Senior Skye Wade recorded 20 digs in the win. Junior Molly Dougherty tallied 19 assists for WWU.

 

The Owls (27-6) will open the American Midwest Conference postseason tournament on November 10th. The opponent for the match is still to be determined. The Owls will host the quarterfinal match in Anderson Arena at 7 pm.
