Volleyball Splits at Tournament
(LOOKOUT POINT, Mo., Sept. 5) - The William Woods University volleyball team split a pair of games at the College of the Ozarks Tournament in Lookout Point, Mo.

The Owls defeated Lyon College in the first match of the day 3-0. WWU defeated Lyon 26-24, 25-19 and 25-22.

The Owls lost to host College of the Ozarks 1-3. College of the Ozarks defeated WWU 31-33, 25-19, 25-17 and 25-18. College of the Ozarks was among others receiving votes in the 2009 NAIA preseason poll.

William Woods is now 3-3 on the season. They will return to action on September 8th. The Owls will open American Midwest Conference play at Harris-Stowe State University.
