Volleyball Drops Two at Tournament

(POINT LOOKOUT, Mo., Sept. 4) - The William Woods University volleyball team dropped two matches at the College of the Ozarks Tournament on Friday afternoon.  The Owls lost to Wayland Baptist University and John Brown University.  Both schools were among others receiving votes in the 2009 NAIA volleyball preseason Top 25.  

William Woods lost to Wayland Baptist in the 3 pm match.  The Owls lost 1-3 (25-22, 21-25, 15-25 and 17-25).  

William Woods lost to John Brown in the 5 pm match.  The Owls lost 2-3 (17-25, 27-25, 21-25, 25-22 and 13-15).  

WWU will play two matches tomorrow (Saturday) in the tournament.  The Owls will play Lyon College at 1 pm, and host College of the Ozarks at 3 pm.  The College of the Ozarks also received votes in the NAIA preseason Top 25.  

William Woods falls to 2-2 on the season.
