Owls Fall at #4 Columbia

(COLUMBIA, Mo., Sept. 19) - The William Woods University volleyball team lost at Columbia College on Saturday afternoon. The Owls lost 3-0 to the Cougars.

Columbia College is ranked 4th in this week's NAIA Top 25 poll. The Cougars defeated the Owls 25-16, 25-21 and 25-21.

Senior Cali Simmons (Shawnee, Kan.) had a team-high seven kills for William Woods. Freshman Emily Nolte (Higginsville, Mo.) recorded 12 assists in the loss for the Owls. Senior Skye Wade (Licking, Mo.) added a team-high 17 digs for WWU.

CC improves to 12-0 on the year, and 4-0 in the American Midwest Conference. WWU falls to 9-5 overall, and 1-2 in the AMC.

William Woods will travel to AMC foe Williams Baptist College on Tuesday, September 22nd. The match will begin at 6 pm in Walnut Ridge, Ark.
