Olin Earns Second Volleyball POW Honor

(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 20)--For the second time in 2009, Lacey Olin of William Woods University has been selected as the American Midwest Conference Volleyball Player of the Week.

Olin, a senior outside hitter from Colorado Springs, Colo., played a big role in helping the Owls sweep a tri-match at home last week. In two matches, Olin collected 22 kills and posted a hitting percentage of .475. In addition. Olin had 27 digs, two solo blocks and a service ace.

In a three-set sweep of Missouri Valley College, Olin notched a double-double with 16 kills along with 17 digs. Thanks in part to Olin's efforts, William Woods extended its win streak to 11 consecutive matches. The Owls have won 17 of their last 19 matches.
