Big Road Win For Owls

(LEBANON, Ill., Sept. 25) - The William Woods University volleyball team gained an important American Midwest Conference victory on Friday night. The Owls defeated McKendree University 3-1 in Lebanon, Ill.

William Woods took the first two sets 25-15 and 25-15. McKendree took the third set 25-21. The Bearcats had game point on the Owls in the fourth set, but WWU rallied and took the match 27-25.

Lacey Olin recorded 21 kills in the win for the Owls. Cali Simmons added 24 digs and 14 kills for WWU. Molly Dougherty led the way with 26 assists in the victory.

McKendree falls to 7-5 overall, 3-2 in the AMC. William Woods improves to 11-5 on the season, 3-2 in the AMC.
