Taylor Lewis Signs With WWU
(FULTON, Mo., Sept. 21) - William Woods University Head Softball Coach Tracy Gastineau has announced the signing of Taylor Lewis to a William Woods University Letter of Intent to play for the Owls in 2010. Lewis comes to William Woods from Bowling Green High School.
Lewis, a 5'5" infielder, earned four varsity softball letters at Bowling Green High School. She was a three-time All-Conference, All-District, and All-Region selection. Lewis was also selected to the Missouri All-State team twice. Bowling Green won its 2007 District championship, and 2008 Conference championships. Lewis was also a member of the basketball team, earning three varsity letters.
"We are delighted to have Taylor join the WWU softball family for the next four years," said Coach Gastineau. "She is an energetic athlete with great running speed and as a slapper, has the ability to keep defenses guessing. Defensively, Taylor has very good range at second base and with her athleticism, will be a versatile athlete able to play numerous positions. We feel Taylor will be a nice fit with our university and will blend well within the personality of our softball team."
