Lindsey LeCuru Signs With WWU

(FULTON, Mo., Aug. 27)--William Woods University head softball coach Tracy Gastineau has announced the signing of Lindsey LeCuru to a William Woods University Letter of Intent to play for the Owls in 2011. LeCuru comes to William Woods from Helias School in Jefferson City, Mo.

LeCuru, a 5'5" infielder, was a 2007 and 2008 All-District selection at Helias. She earned three varsity letters with the Lady Crusaders.

"We are pleased to have Lindsey join the WWU softball program," said Coach Gastineau. "She is a fine athlete possessing great range in the field with a good arm. Offensively, she has a powerful swing and is a tough out for opponents. in addition, Lindsey is an excellent student and citizen. We are excited to have her join our program and university for the next four years."
