Barry Doty joined the athletics staff in August of 2002. Coach Doty is a PGA Golf Professional and serves as the Owls' Men and Women's Head Golf Coach.
Coach Doty led the Owls to the 2007, 2008 and 2009 American Midwest Conference Championship titles and 2005, 2006 and 2008 NAIA Women's Region V Championship titles. Doty has led the Owls to the NAIA National Championship Tournament in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 as well as being ranked in the top twenty for six straight years. The Owls' finished ranked 8th in the 2009 Final NAIA Women's Golf Coaches Poll.
Coach Doty was named NAIA Women's Golf Region V Coach of the Year in 2005, 2006 and 2008 as well being named American Midwest Conference Coach of the Year for both Men and Women's Golf for both 2007, 2008 and 2009. Doty has led the Owls' Men's team to American Midwest Conference Championship titles in 2004, 2008 and 2009 and the NAIA Region V Championship title in 2008, as well as qualifying for the 2008 and 2009 NAIA Men's National Championship. In seven seasons Coach Doty has had 12 players from each of the Men and Women's teams named NAIA All-Region V, and has had seven players named as NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Doty spent six years at the Moberly Country Club where he was the General Manager/CEO and the PGA Head Golf Professional. From 1990 to 1996, Coach Doty was the Assistant PGA Professional at the Country Club of Missouri in Columbia, Mo. and at Sedalia, Mo. Country Club.
"It is my desire to lead the golf programs at William Woods University to compete for the National Championship each year. I feel that we are starting to gain traction in becoming one of the better programs in the country. Our student-athletes are working very hard both on the golf course and in the classroom."
Doty is a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia, Mo., and the PGA of America Business School.
Some of Coach Doty's accomplishments include; being a member of the PGA of America, becoming a Chrysler National Long Drive Qualifier for two years, free agent tryouts with the Washington Redskins and the Kansas City Chiefs, and shooting his career best round of 63 at the Bonneville Country Club in 1989.
Barry and his wife Diana reside in Columbia, Mo. Along with golf, Coach Doty enjoys sports, music and family.

Whitney Guin begins her second year as an assistant golf coach at William Woods University. Guin, a 2008 graduate of William Woods, was a stand-out golfer for the Owls. Guin was selected to the NAIA All-Region V team during the 2005 and 2006 season. Guin was the Owls team captain during all four years. She participated in three NAIA National Tournament, and was an NAIA Scholar-Athlete recipient. One of Guin's WWU highlights was sitting atop the individual leaderboard after the opening round of the NAIA National Championships her freshman year.
Guin earned her bachelor's of science degree in communications with an emphasis in print journalism and public relations from William Woods. She is pursuing her master's degree in business administration from William Woods.
