 Owls Finish 6th at Lindenwood
(ST. LOUIS, Mo., Sept. 29) - The William Woods University men's golf team finished sixth at the Lindenwood Fall Invitational in St. Louis, Mo. on Tuesday. The field consisted of 20 teams.
Grand View University won the three day tournament. Grand View shot rounds of 306, 301 and 301 for a three-day 908 (+44). William Woods shot identical rounds of 314 on day one and two, then fired a 306 for a three-day 934 (+70). The Owls finished three shots behind fourth place Lindsey Wilson College and Southern Nazarene University.
Sophomore Nick Wilson (Rocheport, Mo.) was the top finisher for the Owls. Wilson finished in a tie for fifth place in a field of 119 golfers. Wilson carded a pair of 78's and a final round 71. Wilson was +11 for the tournament. Josh Manske (Grand View University) won the tournament with rounds of 71, 74 and 77. Manske was +6 for the tournament.
