AMC Postseason Awards Announced
(FULTON, Mo., March 10)--Two members of the William Woods University men's basketball team have been selected to the American Midwest Conference team. Freshman Logan Decker (Kansas City, Mo.) and senior Jerone Lester were selected Honorable Mention All-AMC.
Decker, a 6'0" freshman guard, averaged 14 points per game in his rookie season. Decker led the Owls in scoring (407) and broke the single season scoring record at William Woods. He also broke the WWU record for free throws made in a season with 98, and free throw percentage in a season (81%). For his efforts, Decker was also named AMC Co-Freshman of the Year.
Lester, a 6'4" senior forward, averaged 11 points and 7.6 rebounds in his final season at William Woods. Lester grabbed a school record 197 rebounds this season. He finishes his career second all-time in rebounds (336) and blocks (57) at WWU. Jerone was also a member of the Honorable Mention All-AMC team last season.
Junior Dan Anderson (Jefferson City, Mo.) was named to the AMC All-Academic team.
