Responsibility - Laura Seipp (Softball)

Laura SeippResponsibility is one of those all encompassing terms to me.  It covers all the champions of character core values because each of us is individually held to uphold those values.  Every time we step out onto a court or playing field, we are a representation of our athletics department and our university. As a student-athlete, it is our mission to uphold the integrity that both have strived to maintain and present to the community.  In a time and society where athletics are held in such regard, things like academics, servant-leadership and integrity are rarely focused on.  However, the NAIA has decided to bring student-athletes’ attention back to the classroom and to other life fulfilling behaviors.  We are responsible to ourselves, our coaches, and our university. We must strive to care about what goes on after those final seconds tick down or the last out is recorded.
