Martha Hutchins Cockerell '73

Martha Hutchins Cockerell'73 re-joins the WWU Alumni Board after serving in the 1980s. She holds a B.A. degree in English and sociology from William Woods and received her M.A. and Ed.S. degrees from UMKC.

Martha spent 32 years as an educator, serving as a classroom teacher, building administrator, assistant and deputy superintendent, before retiring in 2009. A resident of Kansas City, Missouri, Martha is the executive director of the Raytown Educational Foundation and past chair of the Truman Heartland Community Foundation Board.

During her years at The Woods, she was involved in Council of Classes, Campus Judicial and her sorority, Chi Omega.

Martha and her husband, Rich, Westminster '73, have two children.
