 | The Associate of Arts Program and ACCESS Courses are designed to assist working adult students in the completion of general education and elective hours necessary for admission into a degree completion program of the university.
The Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies consists of a 64-semester hour, 21-course program of general education. Students will be tested and placed into appropriate English and Mathematics classes. Like all programs of study in Graduate & Adult Studies, the Associate of Arts program is delivered in the cohort format. This format enables students to move through the entire program sequence of courses together as a cohort; that is, they normally begin and progress through the entire program together, course by course as a cohesive group.
ACCESS courses meet in extended class periods over an accelerated six-week format. Courses may be taken on a course-by-course basis. Six sessions are offered during the calendar year. Courses are also offered to assist students in completing the pre-requisites for the Master in Business Administration.
