Class Representatives

Thank you for agreeing to be the class representative of your cohort.  In order to be a class representative, you must have an e-mail address (either at home or work) that is checked regularly in case cancellation notices are sent out.

The additional responsibility you have assumed in the role of class representative is greatly appreciated.  The class representative role is an extension of the G&AS office in facilitating a number of activities relating to the successful operation of the group.

The expectations of the class representative are as follows:

In charge of contacting the facilitator of the “next class” to see what is expected of cohort members on the first night of class.  This should be done on the 2nd to the last week of the current class so that the information can be reported back to classmates the last night of the current class.  To locate this information please follow these instructions:  Log on the William Woods web site at www.williamwoods.edu.  Click on Graduate and Adult Studies.  Click on Class rep login.  Enter your student id number (this is your Owlnet ID number).  When you enter this number it will list all instructors who have been assigned to your cohort, their phone numbers and e-mail addresses.

Timely return (within two weeks of class completion) of the completed Student End-of-Course Surveys.  At the end of each class the forms should be filled out, collected and then returned to the Academic Services office AB201.  (You are provided postage paid return envelopes for this.)

To be the “contact person” who distributes information to cohort members from WWU/G&AS and vice versa. (Ex. Inclement weather/class cancellations, classroom issues, any type of questions or concerns in general.)

Timely dissemination of the information provided by the G&AS office (location change, announcements, syllabi etc.).

Timely notification to the G&AS office of problems affecting the cohort, class, facilitator, announcements etc.

There are several forms that you may need additional copies of in the future.  You will find the study group logs, end of course surveys, change of information forms etc. at:  http://www.williamwoods.edu/adult/student-services/documents-forms.asp
