WWU Office of Admissions provides many opportunities to visit campus. We encourage all interested students to visit our campus at one of the organized activities or schedule an individual visit and tour.

Discover our friendly campus environment and what makes The Woods truly special by joining us for one of our Discovery Days. During each Discovery Day, you will tour our beautiful campus, learn about student life from current students and members of our campus community, hear about scholarship and financial aid opportunities and enjoy a tasty lunch in Tucker Dining Hall on us! You will also be able to meet with faculty in your academic area of interest. Optional equestrian complex tours are available during each Discovery Day.
** Students are welcome to spend the night on campus with a WWU student during these designated events. When making your reservation to attend the event please indicate you would like to spend the night.
Equine Academic Showcase **
- November 1-2, 2013
During the Equestrian Academic Showcase, students planning to major in Equestrian Science, Equine Administration or Equine General Studies are encouraged to take an in-depth look at why WWU is the leader in equestrian education. In addition to the general event activities listed above, you will watch WWU students in action participating in riding clinics and demonstrations, tour our world class equestrian facilities, meet our internationally known faculty and more. Our 157 WWU horses can’t wait to meet you!
Arts Encounter: A Visual, Performing & Communication Arts Program

Planning to major in Art, American Sign Language Interpreting, Communication, Graphic Design or Theatre? You won’t want to miss this exciting event to learn more about these reputable programs at The Woods. In addition to the general event activities listed above, incoming students in the Fall of 2013 class may audition or submit a portfolio for our Interpreting, Communication, or Visual and Performing arts scholarships and participate in hands-on activities alongside WWU faculty and students during the Arts Encounter.
WWU 101: The Journey Begins **
- April 11-12, 2014
Students who plan to join us at The Woods in the Fall of 2013 are encouraged to join us for WWU 101. WWU 101 is unlike other visit programs because students have the opportunity to pre-register for fall semester classes, get their student ID, attend helpful sessions geared toward coming to WWU, meet others in the incoming class, participate in fun activities alongside WWU students and much more!
