Communication Concentration in Leadership

The William Woods leadership concentration within the communication major will prepare you with coursework in logic and persuasion, both interpersonal and gender communication, visionary leadership and so much more.

Join the William Woods Collegiate-DECA and increase your leadership skills and practice networking with professionals. Become a member of Lambda Pi Eta Communication Honor Society and learn from like-minded peers, or practice your persuasion skills was part of the Forensic (speech and debate) Team.

Career opportunities

With a leadership concentration in the communication major, you will be prepared for a career as an editor or publisher, production supervisor, advertising executive, company spokesperson, community outreach director, lobbyist, or virtually any role in the realm of communications that calls for strong leadership skills.

Requirements/Curriculum

The leadership concentration within the communication major includes coursework in human relations, interpersonal communication, small group or visionary leadership, logic and persuasion and more.
