Theatre Concentration in Performance

From Shakespeare to Chicago and everything in between, learn from the many greats who have inspired you to step into the spotlight, and use those lessons learned to set the stage for your future.

The performance concentration within the Bachelor of Arts in Theatre degree at William Woods University, you will be fully prepared to take your place on center stage — with coursework in voice and diction, movement, acting, directing and more.

Have the opportunity to gain experience in over 16 major productions from your freshman year to senior year before 1200 audience members in Cutlip Auditorium. Utilize our green room, dance studio and scene shops as you prepare for your big roles. Try your hand at acting for the screen in our television studios.

Career opportunities

With a performance concentration in the theatre major, you will be prepared for a career as an actor, on stage, film or television, director, producer and more. Our graduates can be found performing on stages across the state of Missouri and around the country.
