Athletic Training Major

Athletic TrainingAs an athletic training student at William Woods University, you will study the prevention and care of athletic injuries, exercise physiology, kinesiology, orthopedic and non-orthopedic assessment, therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation, therapeutic modalities, nutrition, personal health, human anatomy, human physiology, first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation and general psychology. Students follow a prescribed four-year plan that prepares them to sit for the Board of Certification exam. The ATEP has a competitive admissions process, with selection based upon meeting the requirements set forth by the program. Our program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).

The Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training is comprised of 56 credits. This degree does not require a minor.
