Biology Minor
National Science Foundation funding, along with WWU support, has enabled us to establish
excellent research facilities in molecular biology. All WWU research is carried out
through close faculty/student interaction. Current projects include the epidemiology
of tick-carried disease and annotating eukaryotic genomes. If you are interested in
environmental science and wildlife resources, courses in ecology and field biology
provide a background in these biological fields. As members of the Reis Biological
Field Station Consortium, we have access to their outdoor laboratory site.
The Biology minor is comprised of 20 credits.
