Mathematics Major
What can you do with a mathematics degree? Plenty! Although teaching, whether at the
secondary or collegiate level, is often the first opportunity most people think of,
it is not the only option. The application of mathematics is indispensable in such
diverse fields as medicine, computer science, space exploration, business, defense
and government. If you choose to pursue studies in statistics, lucrative careers in
actuarial studies and research statistics become available. At William Woods, the
class sizes are small and individual attention can be given to the areas of mathematics
in which you are interested.
