 | BASIC DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
IN SPORTS MANAGEMENT
A degree in sports management requires successful completion of a minimum of 122 credit hours, which 41 of those hours are dedicated to sports management.
Required Common Studies Courses:
All William Woods University undergraduate students complete a Common Studies program. Upon completion of their Common Studies courses, students are expected to possess the knowledge and skills to meet the university’s general education objectives |
| Course Requirements:The undergraduate curriculum structure is built upon guidlines for the school and the major. The Sports Management major consists of business, computer information systems, physical education, psychology, and sports management components. |
| Internship: In the Fall or Spring semesters of the senior year, each student completes an internship in a sports related agency. This requires a minimum of 120 clock hours in an approved work situation. A log of work activities with dates and times must be updated weekly along with a complete portfolio documenting the internship such as through journal entries. |
| Electives: To complete a minor, 5 hours of Sports Management Electives need to be taken. |
