The Equestrian Studies division has seven full-time instructors who are actively involved in their respective equestrian fields. There are also several adjunct faculty members who teach course work within the division. Faculty members have a variety of professional qualifications including judging certifications with national associations, governing board appointments on state and national associations, publication in industry journals and active participation in recognized and rated horse shows.
The faculty expose the students to the professional horse world, not only through their teaching but also through their individual involvement in the equestrian industry. Faculty members are active in placing students in enriching summer employment opportunities as well as helping them locate full-time positions after graduation.
