Founded in 1870, William Woods is a coeducational, independent, professions-orientated, liberal arts-based institution of approximately 3,800 students.

Graduate College
Students seeking the M.B.A., M.Ed., Ed.S. and Ed.D. degrees follow instructional programs and schedules organized in the cohort format. Within the cohort format, you take courses consecutively, one course at a time, rather than several courses simultaneously.

Educational Studies Major
This major is for students who wish to study the Education field without obtaining
teacher certification.
Students interested in seeking teacher certification should not enroll in this major. Instead, they should consult the Division of Education handbook for information on the curriculum, policies and requirements of the division and of teacher certification process.
Introduction to Teacher Education (EDU105) is recommended for students in this major.
