"Being in the social work program and being an athlete was hard at times, but fun all together. The professors were very understanding and flexible when it came to soccer and my internship. The program has helped me grow so much as a person and as a social worker. Being a leader on the field has helped me learn to be a leader in teh social work profession. I've enjoyed my experience as a social work major very much." |

| "The trip to Peru was a life changing experience and I think that anyone who is interested in social work should take a trip to a less developed country. The best part of the trip was being able to see the differences in how we value family and how different cultures value the togetherness. In Peru, family was everything to a person and they lived a much slower pace than here in America. I enjoyed that. It really put things into perspective for me and I was really excited to get back and get to work!" |
