Annual Fund Coordinator
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Professional staff position responsible for the development, implementation and coordination of the annual fund, including program expansion, hiring, training, and supervising phonathon staff.   Collaborates with Director of Alumni Activities to expand alumni activities and events.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manages the WWU Parents’ Association (solicitations, activities, and Parent’s Council coordination)
  • Manages direct mail solicitation efforts (including addition of e-solicitations)
  • Determines overall yearly plan for all annual fund components and evaluates outcomes.
  • Responsible for the revision, design and ordering of all marketing materials related to the Annual Fund.
  • Oversees maintenance of files and records for those programs.
  • Manages yearlong Phonathon activities.
  • Recruits, trains and supervises Phonathon staff and managers.
  • Monitors the success of the programs and maintains statistical data; analyzes program changes to determine effectiveness. 
  • Maintain contact with Director of Alumni Activities via written or oral report, request feedback or instruction if needed.  Update Director monthly via informal written report of tasks completed.
  • Requires travel.
  • Initiates contact with alumni and other potential donors.
  • Assists the Director of Alumni Activities in management/coordination of alumni and advancement programs, including Alumni Weekend, alumni club activities and events, holiday events, and in any other related activity.
  • Work collaboratively with U.A. colleagues to ensure the goals of the office are met.
  • Provide continual input on improved processes for university advancement.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.  Individual must be self-directed and motivated and have the ability to independently initiate, organize, and follow through with program plans; possess supervisory skills and the ability to organize time and work assignments for others.  Requires a person with a demonstrated ability to listen and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; and neatness in appearance.  Knowledge of Windows-based computer applications is required.  Graphic design experience and knowledge of Adobe PageMaker, Photoshop and Illustrator preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to climb stairs several times each day.
  • Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to crouch, kneel, bend or stand for long periods.
  • Ability to speak and read English fluently.
  • Ability to hear.
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard.
  • Effective mobility skills required to move about freely and quickly in office and on campus.
  • Holds a valid Missouri drivers license.
  • Able to drive any type of vehicle without restrictions, and able to drive any type of machinery as needed.

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • This is an exempt, 40-hour per week, 12-month position occasionally requiring additional evening and weekend hours.
