Instructor of American Sign Language

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:    William Woods University is seeking a Full Time Instructor of American Sign Language and Interpreting. Responsibilities include teaching ASL and Interpreting courses in program, supervising students in ASL lab, advising and committee work. This is a nine-month, tenure-track, dual appointment position starting in August 2008.

Education and Experience Required: Master's degree required/PhD preferred in American Sign Language or related field. American Sign Language Teaching Association (ASLTA) certification required. Other qualifications desired are evidence of effective teaching experience at a college or university and member of Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID).
