Carlos Ortega Maldonado

Maldonado, a board member since 1993, is founder and president of the Espiritu Santo University in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Maldonado received the Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Catholic University Law School of Guayaquil. He is also a graduate of the Goethe Institute in Germany. He attended American high schools in Nebraska and Indiana. In 1989, Carlos founded Corazón De La Patria, an elementary school in an underdeveloped area of Guayaquil. He is founder and director of Pramar and Bonafide, Shrimp Farm Companies, and founder and general manager of CETI Corporation. He is also a real estate broker, president of the Social and Sport Club Espíritu Santo and director of the Administration Board of Conticorp in Guayaquil.
